We are excited to welcome Kristin Fischer who joins our staff today as the Clinic’s new Patient Coordinator. Kristin’s is the first friendly face that patients see when they come to be qualified for our services. She helps them through the paperwork, and when they are approved, she explains the Clinic’s policies and procedures to the new patients. With an average of 70+ new patients qualified every month, Kristin will be very busy in her new position.
Raised here in Pinellas County, Kristin earned a degree in Human Relations at Highpoint University in N.C., and one of her previous positions was teaching English as a Second Language for four years in South Korea. Supporting the Clearwater Free Clinic is a family affair for Kristin. Her mother, Dotti, has volunteered for the Clinic for a dozen years, working on our Martinis & Matisse event and now serving on the Board as Treasurer. Kristin remembers helping her mother with Martinis & Matisse ticket sales during high school and college and is glad to be back, this time directly assisting the uninsured to receive quality healthcare at the Clinic.
Welcome, Kristin! We are very happy to have you here.
