Why CFC Needs Your Support

Clearwater Free Clinic is the largest volunteer-driven, free clinic in Pinellas County serving low-income, uninsured families.  Annually, the Clinic makes available comprehensive medical services, medications and diagnostic testing to over 7,500 established patients, resulting in over 14,000 patient visits.  In addition, the Clinic averages 100 new patients each month.

The CFC relies exclusively on community financial support received through contributions, fundraising events and grant awards as it does not receive government support nor does it receive United Way funding.  It is only through the generosity of our local community businesses, churches, civic associations, foundations, individuals and fundraising efforts that we are able to financially support the care we provide.

In today’s uncertain economy and health care climate, our mission to provide families access to quality health care is crucial. Patients with acute and chronic illnesses are provided with quality, ongoing care through clinic services. By managing chronic illnesses and treating non-emergent health care problems, the Clearwater Free Clinic is able to contribute to the health of our community and reduce the number of unnecessary emergency room visits and hospitalizations.
