Community Partnership Spotlight: Baycare Pain Management & Dr. Danya Godoy-Hung

While the Clearwater Free Clinic is proud to be a comprehensive medical facility, sometimes a patient may require care outside of what we're able to provide at the Clinic. The CFC is grateful for the many wonderful Community partnerships that help fill the gaps and provide patients with the resources they need to heal.

BayCare Medical Group's pain medicine and pain management program is one of several specialist programs to which the Clearwater Free Clinic is grateful to refer our patients. 

Many patients have been referred to Dr. Danya A. Godoy-Hung by the Clinic for evaluation and treatment of chronic pain caused by trauma, degenerative spinal illness, or brain and nervous system changes. Dr. Godoy collaborates with CFC clinicians to assess patients' conditions and develop a personalized pain treatment strategy to assist in improving their quality of life. 

Patients are referred to the pain management program once their eligibility has been determined using radiologic testing supplied by BayCare. Dr. Godoy's interventional treatments target particular parts of the muscles and bones and provide chronic pain management with the use of different methods, most often injected medicines or nerve treatment.  

Pain may have a significant influence on every part of a patient's life, limiting their capacity to function physically, emotionally, and cognitively. When our patients get pain relief, it often allows them to improve other parts of their health that their chronic pain was previously limited.
