From Demo to Rebuild: Strengthening the Foundation of Care
If you’ve been following along with the progress of our “Keep Them Well” Campaign, you’ve seen the energy of the demolition phase — walls coming down, ceilings opening up, and the first signs of change for our new Wellness Center.
Now, we’ve entered the next phase: strengthening the foundation and beginning to rebuild.
Why This Phase Matters
Demolition is the part everyone notices, but what comes after is just as important. Our construction team is focused on reinforcing the structure — repairing, shoring up, and creating a foundation that will carry every program, service, and patient we serve for years to come.
It’s not as flashy as tearing down walls, but this stage is where true strength begins. Like health care itself, it’s about prevention, stability, and laying down what’s needed for long-term wellness.
What’s Ahead
Once the foundation is set, we’ll begin framing spaces that reflect our mission: a teaching kitchen, group therapy rooms, wellness classrooms, and the BayCare Food Clinic. These aren’t just rooms — they’re places where people will learn, heal, and find the support they’ve been waiting for.
Every brick and beam added is part of building something our community has long needed: a space where prevention, education, and compassion meet.
How You Can Be Part of It
This campaign is only possible because of community generosity, lead by The Ruth and J O Stone Foundation Board. Together, we’ve already raised more than $5.16 million toward our $7 million goal. Thanks to matching opportunities, every dollar pledged now goes twice as far.
As we move from tearing down to building up, your support helps turn this vision into reality. It’s not just about construction — it’s about creating healthier families, stronger communities, and lasting hope.
